As the first step in a project to build a sign for SAVEAREA, we created a name sign for the entrance. Respecting the comfort of the existing space, which is not unified in design, we thought of a way to provide information that is well conveyed, even if it is a step back and humble. The display board, made of aluminum composite board and MDF cut-out letters, was integrated with the existing blackboard to achieve low cost, and by making the best use of the original materials, the overall composition is humble, yet creates an effective contrast for providing information. The typeface, materials, dimensions, and construction method were all selected so that they can be easily created using familiar resources, so anyone can create any product using a common design code.
