Bench for bus stops crossing the Tokorozawa Yamaguchi area from east to west.Despite the fact that the Yamaguchi area has a large number of elderly people using the bus service, we often see people sitting on the curb of the road waiting for the bus, so we decided to build a bench with the help of local residents. In order to achieve low cost and independent construction, we decided to use a CNC router to puzzle out the components and deliver the bench to the site as soon as possible to improve the current situation.
The backrest, which prevents people from sitting too deep, the armrests, which help people stand up, and the low seat are all designed to accommodate the needs of the elderly, and the legs will be replaced with steel to ensure durability in the future. Some time has passed since the delivery, and various efforts have been made to change the installation position, improve the ground, and repaint.
As a result of the recognition of this activity, benches were installed at bus stops throughout the Yamaguchi area by the Tokorozawa City Urban Planning Division.
